She looked around at the pack, and what was left of their rations. Not much, but it was enough to get by in the day, until Russet returned with the hunters.

Gathering the hunters they headed out into hunting territories making sure to avoid any place with the scent of lion laying around it. He huffed following a wolf his nose scenting out prey as he allowed the other to scent out something first. Stopping on a hill Russet scented a heard of elk. He say tongue hanging from his jaws auds perked. "Any young? Or sick ones" He questioned not smelling sickness but that didnt truely mean anything. "There is a descent size cafe, seems to be male." Russet nodded his cranium. "Good. Now go." He commanded listening to the paw steps of the wolves move out. He prowled downward keeping auds perked listening for the signal. He heard the sharp bark and then the return yip sending his paws forward eating the earth as he howled racing after the heard. He kept the bull distracted as the other wolves made quick work of the calf. He moved hearing the heavy pounding of feet as the bull charged him. Leaping out of the way he let out a yelp getting hit in the rear by a horn. Darting toward the smell of blood he left the heard to moarn their lost as he snapped at any wolf trying to sneek a bite. Howling a victory howl dreading the thought of hauling the calf all the way back.

She listened to the howls in the distance. "Macabre. Can you possibly help the hunters haul the kill into the territory? Or, perhaps deter any of those damned felines from approaching?" she said, turning to the warrior that was helping her walk. Honestly, she just wanted him to leave her be, so she can try and recover on her own, rather than be baby sat by the larger brute. It wasn't really like she was going to run off to try and destroy the large cats herself... at least not yet. The pack needed to be rebuilt from what seemed to be scratch.

With a sigh, he nodded towards the Alphaess after looking her over to make sure she wouldn't fall over when he left. "Yes, mi'lady." He said, adjusting his shoulders and popping his neck a couple times before heading out. "Stay in the territory, alpha!" He shouted in concern as he picked his pace up from a light trot to a full on run. His heart pounded in his chest, and his eyes were narrowed into a small glare as he passed what used to be a thriving haven for the canines, but was now over run with those cats with the freaky hairdos.
When he approached the beta and the hunters, he slowed to a lope. "I was sent to help in any way necessary." He said, skidding to a stop.

She raised an eyebrow and sighed, sitting down near the den. Yumi blinked and winced faintly as the scars down her sides started to sting a little as she shifted her weight a little. The rebuilding seemed to go quite smoothly so far.
As she scented the air, she could smell a slight dampness headed towards the Plains from the east. Looking at the Seer, she questioned whether or not the storm would bring misfortune to them or not.

Kuroko blinked his hazed red eyes. He could sense the eyes of the alpha fall on him in a questioning way. He pulled himself onto his large paws and began to pad towards her, head low enough that it didn't rise above hers. "You smell rain, old friend." he said, plopping down on his hindquarters beside her. He could smell it as well, closing his eyes very slowly. He could see that the rain would be more helpful to the pack than threatening. The herbs that had been squashed by the raiders would grow once again, and they would be of use to all of the injured members of the pack. He shook his head, his horns trying to weigh him down. "I do not see anything harmful. It's enough to make the fish and plants thrive, but we have nothing to worry about, luckily."

Russet and the other hunters had dragged the carcasses a few paces. He stopped auds perked a warning growl rumbling through his chest before the scent of pack invaded his nose. He lifted his tail waiting sightless eyes resting on the brute that stopped in front of him. Nodding his head the beta flicked his tail toward the meat. "Good help drag this back to the den. As well as help keep a look out for those damn beasts." Turning the wolf went back to his spot beginning the dragging process again.

Macabre tossed his black and purple mane in response to the growl, gray eyes focused on the hazed pools of the Beta. He nodded, helping by hauling the kill up by its nape in his maw, and started dragging it at a reasonable pace so that the hunters could keep up. He looked around them to keep an eye on the borders of the territory. For now, they were in the hunting grounds; a place that was fair game for everyone.

They continued to drag the prey without to many issues. They were able to make it back into the territory, once he set a paw there the brute relaxed. He was feeling tired, not built very large or heavy mainly built for speed and stealth.

Macabre blinked, looking towards the den, where the Alphaess had taken her spot to watch over everyone. Beside her sat the one wolf with the curled horns of a ram, Kuroko, the pack's Seer.

Once they made it to the den they dropped the carcass of the male calf into the food stores. "Food is served darling." He gave a wolfy grin toward his alpha a teasing tone to his voice. His mood lightened cause of food being caught and back in a territory he knew where to place his paws. He dipped his head picking up the scent of Kuroko. "Grettings Seer."

"Evening." he said with a sincere look on his face. He was calm now, something that was rather rare. He wasn't quite on the dangerous edge that provoked the flourish of his horns in the quick jab that would ultimately knock others out, but he was, as his expression suggested, sincere and content. "How are you?"

((Pfft. Fun. *making a shipping thread*))
She smiled softly when the hunters returned and nudged a few pups towards the meat so they could eat first. "I see hunting went well." she said questioningly in response to the wolfish grin and tone of the beta.

The brute grinned "Just find thank you for asking. With food for everyone it is a pleasent evening." He turned her cranium in the direction of Yumi his auds perked to the sound of the pups knawing at the meat. "Well of course hunting went well darling you sent me of to point the skilled hunters in the right direction." He winked turning and ripping off a piece of meat that a pup was having issues with. "There you go."

She smiled softly. It was near time for her to be making her rounds and keeping the borders of the camp from being broken by surrounding felines. She didn't have a problem with them, it was just that since the lions had invaded, she had been leery of many hat had found their way into camp. When the sun had started to barely touch the nearby hills, she looked at her pack. "I'm going to make my rounds." she said, looking at her seer, and then her beta. "Make sure everyone gets a share of meat."
